JULY 24–28

Piano vs. Electronics Showdown, Composed and Improvised
Stephen Gosling (piano) Trio: Ikue Mori (electronics) Sylvie Courvoisier (piano) Annie Gosfield (sampling keyboard)
Stephen Gosling performs Lightning Slingers and Dead Ringers for piano and sampler, a wild ride through original analog synth sounds, machine samples, and careening prepared piano. This new trio of old friends explores the crossroads between felt, ivory, wire, signals, and noise.

The Stone at The New School serves as an artist-centric home and community for experimental and avant-garde artists, where they can perform what they want without any interference. With concerts every Tuesday through Saturday evening, The Stone at The New School continues the tradition of the landmark non-profit performance space founded in 2005 by Artistic Director John Zorn, within a greatly improved space.

Presented by College of Performing Arts.
