SLUT: The Play

SLUT: The Play

John L. Tishman Auditorium, University Center
General Public

The Gender Studies program at The New School and The Arts Effect present two special performances of SLUT, an award-winning play written in collaboration with and performed by NYC high school students. SLUT follows the journey of 16-year-old Joanna Grace Del Marco who is raped by two friends during a night out in NYC. Through Joey’s story and those of her community, audiences witness the damaging impact of slut culture and the importance of being heard. Written by Katie Cappiello, directed by Katie Cappiello & Meg McInerney, and featuring The Arts Effect All-Girl Theater Company.

Performances of SLUT will take place on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8. Each performance will be followed by a Q&A and talkback.

Tickets are free for New School Students with ID! Select TNS price which you click on the top right register button.
