Reimagining Youth and Politics in India

Monday, October 23, 2017 at 6:00 pm to 7:30 am

Anna-Maria and Stephen Kellen Auditorium (Room N101), Sheila C. Johnson Design Center 66 Fifth Avenue New York, NY 10003

A public talk with Shehla Rashid. Shehla represents one of the most important voices in the anti-fascist struggles in India. She was the Vice President of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Student Union and a member of the All India Student Association. During a tenuous political climate in India, her experience and writings on the subject have made her a major contributor to the conversation of what active, student participation in politics looks like. She is currently finishing an MPhil in Law and Governance at JNU.
