Pre-Latinx Art: The Veterano Avant Gardes

Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 6:30 pm

Theresa Lang Community and Student Center, Arnhold Hall 55 West 13th Street, Room I-202, New York, NY 10011

Exploring the periods prior to the contemporary use of the Latinx term, this panel discusses the important avant-garde contributions of artists working in the 1970s and 1980s. Panelists explore the lives of artists who immigrated to New York for political reasons, to study, or to create for themselves a new artistic life.
