An Evening with Platon

An Evening with Platon

John L. Tishman Auditorium, University Center
General Public

Hasselblad, in partnership with The New School’s Nth Degree Series and the Photography programs at Parsons School of Design, present an evening with award-winning photographer Platon. Platon’s work has garnered international acclaim, and he has shot numerous portraits for a range of publications including Rolling Stone, The New York Times magazine, Vanity Fair, Esquire, and The Sunday Times magazine. He will share highlights from his career and his latest projects, including his commitment to increasing support for human rights around the globe through his non-profit called The People’s Portfolio. The foundation aspires to create a visual language that breaks barriers, expands dignity, fights discrimination, and enlists the public to support human rights around the world.

Q&A and book signing to follow. Platon will be signing copies of Service: Platon by Sebastian Junger, Elisabeth Biondi, and Platon; copies will be available for purchase onsite.

Co-sponsored by The New School's Nth Degree Series, the Photography programs at The New School’s Parsons School of Design, and Hasselblad.
