Mannes Sounds Festival at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall

Since 1999, Mannes has presented a yearlong music festival every year. Each festival includes more than 20 events performed by the school's gifted young student artists, distinguished faculty members, and renowned guests, at prestigious New York City concert venues and cultural institutions.

Curated by Artistic Director Pavlina Dokovska, this evening’s event is the 2018 Mannes Sounds Festival closing concert.  Featuring works for chamber music and piano by Ravel, Casadesus, Villa-Lobos, Debussy, Bernstein, Assad, Fiedelman, Bolcom and songs by Vaughan Williams, the concert will close with the music of Boulanger and Strayhorn performed by the UCCELLO Ensemble led by Artist-in-Residence Matt Haimovitz with cellists from Mannes School of Music and The Schulich School of Music at McGill University..
