John Koozin is a bassist and composer residing in New York City. He has performed throughout the US, Canada, and Central and Northern Europe. His goal is to invoke thoughts, ideas, and unity through narrative-based compositions. His work is inspired by visual artists, poetry, video games, and his friends.

Koozin has toured and performed with artists including Matt Wilson, Lisa Henry, Antonio Hart, Jason Moran, Brandon Lee, Joel Frahm, Francois Rabbath, Tim Armacost, Dennis Dotson, James Francies, Joel Ross, Sebastian Whittaker, and Adam O’ Farrill. His most recent EP, “Trying to Explain Myself,” is a collaboration with visual artist Kate Saubestre and features drummer Matt Wilson.
