Interdisciplinary Science Meet Up: Science Narratives & Justice

Enjoy food and conversation with students, alumni, and faculty in the Interdisciplinary Science Program. Students can learn about course offerings, public programming, city events, study abroad, and students' research and internship experiences. At each Meet Up alumni or current students minoring or majoring in the Interdisciplinary Science Program will present their career trajectories, summer research or internship experience and/or summer academic program. 

Alumnus and Mohn Science and Social Justice Fellow Sean Hughes (BA/BFA) will discuss how he combines design, narrative, and STEM to address health, environment, and equity. Their work integrates narrative, data, design, to create an interactive tool for individuals to inform their decision making on energy sources. Alumna and Mohn Science and Social Justice Fellow, Holly Woodbury will showcase how experiences with civic engagement, internships, courses, led her to graduate school in public health with a strong focus on narrative medicine.
