Interdisciplinary Science Meet Up: Health Justice

We welcome students interested in the natural sciences, math, planetary health, sustainability, and social justice to join us for food, conversation, and student and alumni presentations. This meet up is proud to host the following alumni and students who will showcase how their Lang experience led them to funded research/internship experiences and careers in Health Justice.
- 6:00pm Lianna Schwartz Orbach Lang Alumna, MoMath Intern, MD/PhD candidate at Rutgers University
- 6:15pm Alexa Riggs Lang Alumna '18/Hunt Foundation Science & Social Justice Fellow, MPH CUNY, Research Coordinator Mount Sinai, and Urban Environment Health Instructor
- 6:30pm Geena Sompanya Lang Senior, Mohn Family Science & Social Justice Fellow with Nayaab Khawar, Alumna Research Coordinator, at NY Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital
- 6:45pm Anthony Jimenez Hernandez Lang Junior Mohn Family Science & Social Justice Fellow at Public Health Solutions
Faculty will advise students for Science and Math Fellows, spring registration, and research and summer internships before and after the Alumni and Student Presentations for the Interdisciplinary Science Program, an academic program focused on the knowledge, values, and methods of science to address pressing planetary health challenges facing our democracy.
