Interdisciplinary Science Meet Up: Getting a Job/Internship & Showcasing Your Work

Enjoy food and conversation with students, alumni, and faculty in the Interdisciplinary Science Program. Students can learn about course offerings, public programming, city events, study abroad, and students' research and internship experiences. At each Meet Up a student or alumni of the Interdisciplinary Science Program will share their experiences. Sponsored by the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

All students are invited to learn about STEM opportunities and places to publish and share work. IS alumni and current students will share experiences; Lianna Schwartz-Orbach and Alison Irvine will discuss how they secured internships, research experiences, and employment. Lianna will discuss her research experience as a Lang student, a research assistant position post-graduation, and completed pre-reqs for the PhD and MD as part of her benefits package. Alison will discuss her internships and study-abroad programs and application process for Fulbright Fellowship. Current students will discuss how the Tutorial Advising courses and close advising have allowed them to secure summer internships. Pizza will be served.
