Forgotten Women: Conversation and Book Signing

Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Theresa Lang Community and Student Center, Arnhold Hall, Theresa Lang Center 55 West 13th Street, Room I-202, New York, NY 10011

Author and UK Broadly editor, Zing Tsjeng, discusses her new book series, FORGOTTEN WOMEN, with Gina Luria Walker, Professor of Women’s Studies and Director of The New Historia, The New School, and Mona Chalabi, Data Editor at the Guardian US.

Timely and pertinent, FORGOTTEN WOMEN celebrates and uncovers the fascinating herstories of influential women and pioneering early feminists whose remarkable achievements have been overlooked and forgotten.

Forgotten Women: The Leaders and Forgotten Women: The Scientists, the first two of the series, each highlight 48 inspiring and rebellious women who defied the odds to change the world around them.

As Virginia Woolf said, “For most of history, anonymous was a woman.”

Presented by The New School.
