Christophe Assier, Guitar | Autumn '17 Ensemble & Recital Series | School of Jazz

Monday, December 18, 2017 at 9:00 pm to 10:00 pm

School of Jazz Performance Space, Room I531, Arnhold Hall 55 West 13th Street, New York, NY 10011

Christophe Assier is a jazz guitarist and composer. He discovered his passion for music at an early age through his uncle and his families' record collection - and the journey of music-making began.

In 2003, he traveled around and across the Australian desert. His feeling of space, silence and time completely changed and this experience had a profound impact on how he approaches music today.

Having lived in New York City for the last four years, his vision of music has yet again evolved into something new. His new project features musicians he has met while attending The School of Jazz. On the 18th of December 2017, the band will play original music and Jazz standards in various band configurations including solo, trio and quintet performances.

Presented by The School of Jazz.
