School of Drama will present "Fuente Ovejuna: A Disloyal Adaptation" by Cusi Cram, from the play by Lope De Vega as the first BFA Mainstage production of Drama's 2019-20 season.

In Cusi Cram's "Disloyal Adaptation" a troupe of actors in 1930's Spain are led by a driven director/poet to enact Lope De Vega's classic work about a town that bands together to battle injustice and abuse at the hands of a power hungry military commander. When the commander is murdered, the residents refuse to give up the culprit claiming that the town of Fuenteovejuna itself is responsible.

The production will be directed by Christina Roussos, and feature: Aditya Lal Chadha, Chace Chester, Jodie Cortez, Alessandra Cronin, Branden Darcel, Tasja Drahveen, Adaline Gomez, Mitchell Hoover, Emma Maggi-Byers, Francis MacCall, Idan Morad, Borana Ramizi, Logan Riseling, Dylan Turczan and Malaika Wilson.

Presented by the School of Drama at the College of Performing Arts.
