Valeria Luiselli’s novel, The Story of My Teeth, will be published by Coffee House Press in fall 2015. She is the author of the book of essays Sidewalks and the internationally acclaimed novel Faces in the Crowd. Luiselli’s short fiction and non-fiction pieces have appeared in magazines and newspapers such as The New York Times, Granta, McSweeney’s and Dazed and Confused. Her work has been translated to multiple languages, and in 2014 she was the recipient of the National Book Foundation’s 5 Under 35 award.
Patrick Philips is the author of the poetry collections Elegy for a Broken Machine (2015) Chattahoochee (2004), and Boy (2008). His honors include a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and a Fulbright Scholarship to the University of Copenhagen. He won the American-Scandinavian Foundation’s translation prize for his translations of the work of Danish poet Henrik Nordbrandt, most recently When We Leave Each Other (2013).
