Whose Labor? Gural Scholars Program Junior Cohort Presentation

Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Wolff Conference Room, Room D1103, Albert and Vera List Academic Center 6 East 16th Street, New York, NY 10003, Room D1103

The junior cohort from the Gural Scholars Program invites you to join them for a night of games, food and music.

The cohort has designed a game intended to ask questions about the distribution of labor within a community, allow people to see the ways paid, emotional and community labor is going recognized or unrecognized, and ultimately serve as a community building tool for those playing.

Designed for a study abroad trip to Colombia they will undertake in March, the scholars are hosting a one night exhibition at The New School for students and faculty to try out the game themselves before they pilot it with communities in Colombia.

Food will be served.

This event is sponsored by Lang Civic Engagement and Social Justice.

The Gural Scholars Program is a four-year, cohort-based scholarship program for Lang students committed to social justice theory and action.
