Join us for a discussion of the fascinating, intertwined history of Latin music and jazz, from the early 1930’s to the present. Featuring a lecture by noted producer, writer, educator, and Latin music historian Joe Conzo, Sr.  Along with an insider's view of the music we'll hear recordings by Machito, Charlie Parker, Louis Armstrong, Juan Tizol, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich, Dizzy Gillespie, Chano Pozo, Tito Puente, Chico O’Farrill,Mario Bauza Ray Barretto Candido Camero, and more.
