Plagiarism: Detect It, Prevent It

Many of us in higher education have experienced the unpleasant moment of discovery that small passages or large sections of a student's essay have been plagiarized. And at universities like The New School, it is not uncommon for art and design instructors to encounter plagiarized drawings and designs. This faculty workshop will examine why students plagiarize and offer positive solutions for how to address the issue in the classroom. Speakers will discuss classroom experiences and research on the subject and allow participants time to ask questions and share their ideas.
