Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 4:00 pm
John L. Tishman Auditorium, University Center 63 Fifth Avenue, Room U100, New York, NY 10003
From Katrina, Sandy, Flint, Standing Rock, to Harvey, there are too many untold stories of climate disasters and frontline leaders fighting for climate solutions. As part of Climate Week NYC 2017, this event will explore the power of culture, organizing, and community-driven solutions to empower vulnerable communities on the frontlines of climate change.
The event will also feature performances and conversations with influential leaders and celebrate the third anniversary of People’s Climate Music, the initiative that is strengthening the climate movement through culture. Artists and activists taking part in the event include Antonique Smith, Grammy-nominated musician and actress, Adrian Grenier, Actor and Founder of The Lonely Whale Foundation, and many more.
Frontline communities are being impacted first and worst by climate change. NOW is the time we need to tell their stories to drive immediate action on climate change. We hope you will join us!
Presented by The New School's Tishman Environment and Design Center.
