Attend a live event about some extraordinary women of the past who are getting Times obituaries for the first time. The “Overlooked” series uses Times obits, widely recognized for their masterful storytelling, to bring you closer to women of noteworthy achievement and the journalistic craft that now celebrates them.
This special event marks the launch of “Overlooked,” moderated by Times gender editor Jessica Bennett, critic at large Amanda Hess and national reporter covering immigration, Caitlin Dickerson. The new obits will be read on-stage by Laurie Anderson, Justin Vivian Bond, Sarah Jessica Parker, Esperanza Spalding, Amber Tamblyn.

A limited number of New School tickets are available here for students, faculty, staff, and alumni only using your New School email address as proof of your eligibility. You must show your New School ID card at the door to receive your ticket. Tickets are first come, first serve. No exceptions.
