Theresa Lang Community and Student Center, Arnhold Hall 55 West 13th Street, Room I-202, New York, NY 10011

With post-screening discussion between members of the Eugene Lang College's Interdisciplinary Science faculty and filmmakers.

Return to Sender: A lonely scientist attempts to grow companionship from a mail order kit, but maybe cloning is the only answer.

Screening with:

PLAYGROUND: A gorgeously hand-animated abstract evolution study: cells, systems, and organisms.
SIMPLY COMPLEX: Sharply designed overview of DNA research via animation and part fo many monologue. A patchwork documentary.
HYPERLINK: with personal DNA sequencing becoming ever-more feasible, what might we try to accomplish by genetic hacking in the near future?

The Imagine Science Film Festival is first science film festival in the world founded by scientists. It aims to transform the way science and scientists are portrayed in mainstream media, while emphasizing the importance of storytelling, narrative structure, and visual communication.
