Harm Reduction Psychotherapy Certificate: Launch and Open House

Monday, April 28, 2014 at 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Wolff Conference Room, Room D1103, Albert and Vera List Academic Center 6 East 16th Street, New York, NY 10003, Room D1103

The Certificate Program in Harm Reduction Psychotherapy invites you to attend an Open House and learn more about this new program launching in Fall 2014.

Housed at the New School for Social Research, this graduate-level, non-credit professional certificate program offers licensed and license-eligible mental health and substance abuse practitioners specialized training in the theory and application of integrative harm reduction psychotherapy.

This event will include a brief presentation by Drs. Andrew Tatarsky and Jenifer Talley on integrative harm reduction psychotherapy and how this approach has been used at The Center for Optimal Living to address substance misuse and other risky behaviors.  There will also be an opportunity for questions and discussion about this approach and light refreshments will be served.

The Certificate in Harm Reduction Psychotherapy offers a compassionate new methodology to professional and graduate students seeking alternative approaches to substance use disorders. The first program to bring together psychotherapy and innovative harm reduction methods, it regards a variety of steps towards positive change and success markers.

We encourage you to register for this free event, contact program director Dr. Jenifer Talley, and learn more about the program on our site.
