Group Fitness: Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Join us for vigorous mindful vinyasa yoga and deep stretching with a focus on proper alignment and conscious breathing technique. This class is suitable for all levels, offering incrementally challenging yet optional variations. Special attention is given to balancing techniques, therapeutics, concentration, and holistic movement. The physical practice is followed by more “internal” yogic techniques of guided relaxation and meditation. Also explored are strategies for building one’s own self-practice as well as practice with a partner following techniques from AcroYoga. Humor and playfulness are highly encouraged!
Group fitness classes are only open to current New School students with valid New School ID, faculty, and staff.
Classes are first come, first serve. Drop-in (no reservations).
Each person must complete a paper Fitness Waiver each semester and have current health insurance. Please hand in the waiver at the first class you attend each semester. We require one waiver per location.
