Geek Street Fair, Hosted by Google

Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm

West 14th Street and 10th Avenue, New York, NY

The New School is pleased to be participating in the first ever Geek Street Fair, a public event hosted by Google, to highlight the City’s technology community and inspire New Yorkers of all ages to take an interest in the fields of science, technology, engineering and math. Think a traditional street fair, but replace funnel cakes and tube socks with virtual games, robotics and electronic tinkering.

Representing The New School will be a group of students and faculty members from Parsons School of Art, Media and Technology presenting their project gadgITERATION, which received HIVE Spark funding and was recently presented at the New York Hall of Science during the 2013 Interaction Design and Children conference.
