Fiction Forum: Wayne Koestenbaum and Douglas Martin

Wayne Koestenbaum has published eighteen books of poetry, criticism, and fiction, including Notes on Glaze, The Pink Trance Notebooks, My 1980s & Other Essays, Hotel Theory, Best-Selling Jewish Porn Films, Andy Warhol, Humiliation, Jackie Under My Skin, and The Queen’s Throat (a National Book Critics Circle Award finalist). His next book of poems, Camp Marmalade, part two of his trance trilogy, will be published by Nightboat Books in March 2018. His essays and poetry have appeared in The Best American Essays, The Best American Poetry, The New York Times, The New Yorker, London Review of Books, Artforum, The Paris Review, Harper’s, The Believer, Süddeutsche Zeitung, Cabinet, and many other periodicals and anthologies. Koestenbaum is a Distinguished Professor of English, Comparative Literature, and French at the CUNY Graduate Center in New York City.

Douglas A. Martin is the author of books of poetry and prose, including: AckerOnce You Go Back, Your Body Figured, In The Time of Assignments, Branwell, and They Change the Subject. His first novel, Outline of My Lover, was selected by Colm Tóibín as an International Book of the Year in The Times Literary Supplement and adapted in part by the Forsythe Company for their multimedia ballet/live film, Kammer/Kammer. His work has been translated into three languages. He lives in Brooklyn, New York.
