Faculty Governance Day: Celebrating Faculty Governance

Faculty Governance Day, sponsored by the University Faculty Senate, is a day of celebration of faculty governance including the culmination of voting for University Faculty Senate and college governance body representatives, the recognition of those who have served in faculty governance, and raising university-wide awareness of the importance of faculty governance and participation in shared governance of the university. Faculty Governance Day hopes to establish better connections between faculty and their representatives and between faculty governance groups around the university.

All full-time and part-time faculty are invited to participate in this inaugural event.


9:30—10:00 a.m.

Meet and Greet with current UFS and college governance represenattives and administrators (with coffee and pastries beginning at 9:00 a.m.)

10:00—11:30 a.m.

Forum and workshop: What Should Share Governance Look Like at The New School?

Stay for open dialogue until noon.
