Enhancing Second Language Proficiency With Web Tools

The Foreign Languages Department presents a workshop that will explore Google Apps and Web Tools available to second language instructors and how those tools can help enhance second language teaching. The workshop will demonstrate how they can be best integrated into second language instruction and enrich teaching and learning inside and outside of the classroom. It will offer hands-on practice and is open to all language instructors.  The workshop is free.

Presenters:

Marie-Christine Masse

Marie-Christine Massé teaches all levels of French, including advanced courses in French-speaking Cinema, Popular Culture, and French Literature.  Her research interests include language pedagogy, language testing, program assessment, and second language teaching and learning in Web 2.0 environments. 

Marie-Laure Hoffmann

Marie-Laure Hoffmann has taught French at the New School since the Fall of 2012. Ms. Hoffmann has presented at AATF, ACTFL, and FLENJ Annual Conferences on a variety of topics such as “Project-based Learning”, “Technology in the World Language Classroom”, “Flipping the World Language Classroom”, and “Integrated Performance Assessments”, to name a few. Marie-Laure Hoffmann currently teaches French at Westfield High School (2011 Outstanding Teacher of the Year) and is a College Board French Language and Culture AP Exam reader.
