Doc Studies 11th Annual Truth Be Told Documentary Festival Day 1

Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm

The Auditorium, Room A106, Alvin Johnson/J.M. Kaplan Hall 66 West 12th Street, New York, NY 10011

The Graduate Certificate in Documentary Media Studies is proud to present its eleventh annual festival of three evenings of original documentary shorts made by students in the class of 2017.

Each work is the result of a year of intensive study in documentary cinema -- production, history and theory -- by students from around the world, including Brazil, Iran, Venezuela, Germany, Canada and the U.S. Hosted by Deanna Kamiel, director of the Doc Studies program at The New School. Screenings will be followed by a faculty-led Q & A with the filmmakers.

A reception takes place after the Tuesday night screening.
